SMOKED SALMON BAGEL

Bagel de salmón ahumado
Very recently I discovered that Gadis Supermercados had bagels. I remember eating bagels while studying in Madrid, they were such a great alternative to typical sandwich bread. Fond memories indeed. Today, my recipe is smoked salmon bagel with cucumber and oil.  I chose bagels with seeds, but you can find other bagels at Gadis too.

When I got home I cut the cucumber using a mandoline slicer and I covered it with some extra virgin olive oil and other ingredients.

Bagel

INGREDIENTS

Two bagels with seeds

100 gr (3.5 oz) smoked salmon

2 tbsp capers

Cream cheese

One cucumber

Fresh dill

A few drops of lemon juice

Extra virgin olive oil

 

METHOD

Use the mandoline slicer to cut the cucumber into very thin slices and place in bowl. Add some olive oil, a few drops of lemon juice, capers, dill and mix thoroughly. I did this the previous day so that the cucumber could absorb all the flavors and aromas.

Now, cut the bagel in half and spread the cream cheese. Add the smoked salmon, cucumber, more capers and some extra dill.

That’s how easy this is and so delicious too!
