I’ve always loved botanical gardens. With every step you take you feel you are traveling to different corners of the world and for someone like me, who has always been passionate about plants, even more so. We do some excursions this Easter and we decided to go for a visit to Vigo’s botanical garden.
The full name of the botanical garden is Fundacion Sales. It was created by Francisco de Sales Covelo, a landscape designer who was a great lover of land and aquatic plants. When he died, in 2001, a foundation was set up, which is maintained today thanks to private donations, events, courses, and of course visits.
Here are some photographs I took there, so you can get an idea of some of the diversity that can be found in the botanical garden. I definitely recommend it to anyone. If you find yourself in Vigo, it’s a relatively short visit and it only costs 2€. You can check opening hours on social networks. It’s really worth it.
